Speakers

At each monthly general meeting, a program is provided to the membership for the purpose of education, enlightenment, and/or entertainment. Guest speakers usually consist of professional or pro-amateur photographers who share their skills and work in a one-hour presentation. With the advent of high-speed Internet, the Photographic Society of Chattanooga has even had the opportunity to have photographers from other parts of the country speak to its membership via conferencing software. Program topics range from travel, editorial, or nature photography to photographic techniques and applications (such as night photography) to post-production techniques (such as the use of Photo Shop and/or printing).

Some of the monthly meetings are reserved for annual presentations. During the September meeting, there is a picnic, and the results from the Quarterly Photo Contest are presented. The results of the Annual Photo Contest are presented during the latter portion of the Christmas Holiday Banquet in December.

The office of the President-Elect is responsible for scheduling the guest speakers. If you are interested in presenting a program for the Photographic Society of Chattanooga, please contact the officer holding this position: president-elect@chattanoogaphoto.org.
