DESCRIPTION:New pictures are due January 15 and 16\, 4-5:30pm at Blackwell Automotive\, 71 Eastgate Loop. All members are welcome. Pictures in the current show are due for pickup then also. \nBring pictures from your recent projects ready to hang. Pictures from the Annual contest are invited. They can be displayed along with ribbons if desired. This is a club show\, not a juried gallery\, but pic-tures should be ready to hang\, either framed\, metal or canvas wrapped. A hanging wire is best. They need to have a title and price. If you have not previously participated\, I urge you to visit the gallery at the Blackwell Automotive Building\, open Monday – Friday\, 7:30am-5:30pm\, to see what members are doing. SUMMARY:Lin Blackwell-Prabish Seminar
DESCRIPTION:On October 1\, 2022\, the Photographic Society of Chattanooga will sponsor\na seminar with local artist Lin Blackwell-Prabish. \nProfessional Photographer and Artist Lin Blackwell-Prabish will instruct\na class on applying Art Mediums to your photographs! The 3-hour class\nwill include a history of different art mediums and actual hands-on\npractice. All supplies needed will be there for you to sample. You only\nneed to bring paper and a pencil to take notes. \nShe will touch on Colored Pencils\, watercolors\, Sprays\, and different\ntypes of paper. The “Goals” of this class are learning about\nEnhancement and what is an Original! The most important “Goal” in this\nclass is\, what is it you like?! You will have 3 hours of highlights from\nher regular class\, Advanced Hand-coloring with Various Art Mediums. \nLin has had many people ask her over the years\, is that a painting or a\nphotograph? Lin said\, at first\, she was offended by the question until\nshe figured out that it was a very high compliment. SUMMARY:Lightroom Photo Editing - One Day Workshop
DESCRIPTION:The Photographic Society of Chattanooga will conduct a one day workshop on digital photo editing using Adobe Lightroom\, on Saturday June 18\, 2022 at St. John United Methodist Church.  The course is designed for beginners\, no previous experience with photo editing is needed. People who have some prior experience with Lightroom but want a basic overview will also benefit from the workshop. \nLightroom is one of the most powerful and popular photo editing programs in the world. The objective of the course is to teach the basic image editing skills that will result in an immediate and dramatic improvement in your digital photographs. Information about additional sources to help further develop your photo editing skills will be provided. Instruction about downloading and installing the Lightroom program will be given. \n \nThe course is based on Adobe Lightroom Classic\, but there  there is great overlap with the editing tools in Lightroom Mobile and Adobe Camera RAW. Although we are calling this a “workshop\,” our goal is to make this more fun than work. \nThe workshop will begin at 9:00 a.m.. DESCRIPTION:About 12 photo clubs from the North Georgia area (and a couple of Tenn clubs) will meet in Dallas\, GA. on April 30\, at 7:15am till 6pm. We will photograph according to five  topics drawn from a hat. There will be door prizes\, judging for places 1 thru 10 in each category\, photography vendors\, and interesting topical presentations while we wait for the judging.
